3bags of 10oz mini marshmallowsor large marshmallows equaling 30oz
6 - 7cupsRice Krispies
½cupjam of your choice
Take out a nonstick 8x8 inch pan and optionally line with parchment paper.
Heat a pot on medium-high heat and add the butter. Allow the butter to melt and stir occasionally. The butter will begin to brown and take on a slightly nutty scent. As soon as this happens, remove the pot from the heat and add the marshmallows.
Stir the marshmallows until they full melt and mix in the vanilla extract.
Slowly mix in the cereal one cup at a time, The mixture will be very sticky.
Fill the pan with half the mixture and pat it down using a spatula to create a smooth layer. Layer on the peanut butter, then the jam and top with the remaining cereal mixture and pat down until it is even. Allow the treats to cool and set - due to the thickness of the treats, this will take about 3 - 4 hours. You can speed things up by sticking the pan in the refrigerator. cut the treats into four extra large pieces. (You can cut them down smaller if you'd like, but I think they are more fun this way!)
