Instructions
Add the brown sugar and water to a heavy-bottomed saucepan and heat on medium.
Stir the mixture continuously, watching that the mixture doesn't begin to simmer or boil.
Remove from heat once the sugar is completely dissolved and allow to come to room temperature.
Transfer to an airtight container
Notes
You can use light or brown sugar.
Add more flavor by including a teaspoon of vanilla extract, or your favorite spices.
