Jump to Recipe

Wake up to a delicious quality drink with this coconut mocha macchiato. Creamy coconut milk and Dunkin Donuts Coconut Flavored Coffee topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut.

I am always honest about the fact that I don’t drink a lot of coffee. It must be a good cup of coffee to convince me and I usually end up going out for coffee instead of making it at home. If I do make it at home, I usually go for brands that I know I like, such as Dunkin’ Donuts found at my local Target. With that, I’ve found my new warm weather jam featuring the Limited Edition Dunkin' Donuts Coconut ground coffee in this coconut mocha macchiato with a mocha twist.

What I love about the Dunkin’ Donuts Coconut ground coffee is that is does a great job at being a complete sensory experience. Just opening the bag, you are greeted with scent of freshly ground coffee with sweet notes of coconut. The coconut blends irresistibly with the brewing coffee as it brews and takes you on a mini tropical vacation. I wanted to emphasize that amazing coconut flavor with this coconut mocha macchiato. I use a base of coconut milk. Not the canned coconut milk, but the one you find with the other non-dairy milk products.  I also added a touch of chocolate ‘cause who doesn’t love a little mocha twist in their coffee? Light as air whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes tops the coconut mocha macchiato.

It’s a seriously delicious treat and such a fun way to drink your coffee. It’s completely budget friendly and easy to find (get it while it’s available, because it’s a seasonal flavor only) at Target. It is perfect hot or iced. Personally, I love it iced. Did you know that while the layers between the milk and coffee are pretty, you are supposed to mix the two together if you drink it iced? While it’s hot, it mixes naturally, but you gotta do some of the work if its iced. I did not realize that the first few times I had an iced macchiato! Like I said, I was a bit of a coffee novice for a while, which is why I think sharing that info is a way to help a fellow girl (or guy) out! If you want to go for a bit more drama, you can also add swirls of chocolate syrup along the sides of your glass.

Since I prefer my coconut mocha macchiato iced, I like to make it ready a little ahead of time for the days I know I will be busy. I usually end up having two in a day, so I will make enough coffee the night before or some extra in the morning and leave it in the fridge so it’s already ready and cold for me. Then it’s just a matter of adding ice, coconut milk, and toppings.

There is nothing like relaxing with a coconut mocha macchiato in the morning!
