    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This creamy strawberry papaya smoothie is almost like a smooth, irresistible tropical milkshake. Thank you House Foods for sponsoring this post.

Smoothies are one of my favorite breakfasts to have in the morning. I love how quick and filling they are, while also being great for taking on the go. My favorite type of smoothie is one that is super thick and creamy like a milkshake. One method I use to achieve that is by using soft tofu.

Tofu is great in many ways. I love it in my stir fry but it is actually super versatile and perfect for sweet applications too. Just like in this strawberry papaya smoothie. It's neutral flavor and silky consistency makes it perfect for that milkshake consistency.

My daughter is also a huge fan of smoothies, so it is another reason I love adding tofu to our smoothies. It adds a bit more health to the drink without affecting the flavor of the breakfast drink at all. I can relax easily knowing that she fully enjoys drinking something full of nutrients that will also keep her satisfied for hours. She loves this strawberry papaya smoothie as a snack or dessert, too! We get excited about the role tofu plays in the smoothie by reading The Tales of Tofu from House Foods (click the link to download the e-book for yourself).

We love how beautiful the illustrations are, plus all the tasty recipes included. The book teaches you how to eat healthier as you go through the adventure with little tofu as he learns how wonderfully he pairs with other foods. Hint: This strawberry papaya tofu smoothie is from the book.
