Okay, so.... it's my birthday today. I am... gulp... 26 27 years old. Most people get excited and bake cakes and are just thrilled that they have a day all about them, but not me. That hasn't been the case since I was about 4 years old. To prove how much I actually pay attention to my birthday, here is a rundown of my plans for today: Go to meet a possible new pediatrician for Natushka. finalize what ingredients I need for my baking this weekend, possibly do some online grocery shopping.
This is an especially scary birthday because I am officially in my late 20's and three years to 30 and no where near where I want to be in life.
I went through Facebook all the way back to 2009 trying to find a good birthday Throwback Thursday post for you, but since I ignore my birthday as best as possible, I couldn't find anything except for this photo you see up there. I took this picture with my phone outside my kitchen window in Chiswick. The rainbow went right over our flat and it was just so beautiful. I didn't even take this in July. This was in March or April. I think this was just when I decided to share the picture.
Anyway, I decided that since I am old now, I need to stop whining and hiding from my age and instead use this as my starting point to reach a few goals before my next birthday. So, here it goes:
- Move to Seattle, in an apartment of my very own.
- Find a good job in marketing or a related field
- Possibly, maybe, perhaps start dating again
- Lose 20 lbs
What do you think?

Yeah I agree...it's not the age, it's not being where you envisioned yourself...but don't worry, I think a lot of people from our generation took a little longer to figure it out;p Your list sounds amazing...I'd love to see Seattle-except for the rain of course (although more rain=more reasons to drink tea or coffee and eat cake:)
